Event Date: February 6th, 2017

7 p.m.
Main Branch
East Baton Rouge Parish Library
7711 Goodwood Boulevard
Baton Rouge, LA

The East Baton Rouge Parish Library will host a class focused on resources to help patrions research their African American ancestors. Slavery, prejudice and dicrimination all played a role in the routine exclusion of African Americans from many records that could have documented details of their daily lives. This class will offer search techniques and special records collections to reveal resources and techniques to help fill the void.

Call 225-231-3750 for details.
