West Baton Rouge Museum's Annual Teacher Institute: Atchafalaya JULY 18-20

This three‐day summer professional development series is designed for in‐service K‐12 teachers across all subject areas. This summer will be the 11th year the museum is offering this professional development program. Participants will work with museum staff, scholars and special guests to develop lessons for use in their classrooms. Teachers will be immersed in lectures and presentations from historians, education specialists, and other special guests as well as field trips, and hands‐on activities. Participants will receive classroom resource materials, a certificate of participation, and a $100 stipend upon completion of all institute activities and assignments. Daily lunches are provided along with transportation for field trips. The Teachers Institute is limited to 25 participants. Availability is based on a first‐come‐first‐serve basis.
