EVENT DETAILS:
Port Barre Cracklin Festival
Event Dates: November 7th-10th, 2024
Since 1985, the Port Barre Lions Club uses funds raised by the Cracklin Festival and other smaller events to support the Louisiana Lions Camp, free vision screening at our local schools, and the Louisiana Lions Eye Foundation. Come and enjoy Louisianian's favorite snack. This year we will have the traditional pork cracklins as well as those tasty chicken cracklins.
The 38th Annual Cracklin Festival is held the second weekend in November every year. Ice chests, glass containers, and pets are not allowed. Children 10 and under get into the festival grounds for free. This year we are implementing a clear bag policy. Diaper bags accepted but will be searched.
Carnival rides, a parade, live music, crafts, great food, family fun and of course, the always popular Cracklin Cook-off on Sunday.
Our festival kicks off with the annual 38th Cracklin Festival Pageants. Youth pageant is held October 26th and the Miss, Teen & Ms. Pageant is held October 27th.
