What field trip consists of
We begin with a guided tour of the house and grounds. We have 19th century children’s games (horseshoes, graces, and hoops) that will teach students how kids played backed then. We also have a fishing game demo and can even do a real fishing lesson with smaller groups. Property has a very short nature trail to walk. Plenty of outdoor space to bring lunches and picnic either on the bayou side by the water or near the visitor’s center.
Changes in itinerary
To change the time, date, or number of visitors advance of a scheduled field trip, e-mail in the Museum Special Projects Coordinator, James Bishop at jBishop@crt.la.gov.
